What Is The Treatment For High BP And Headache During Pregnancy?

Hai This is aravind and my is now three month preganant with high BP 150/110 and now she taken medicine each 6 hrs - 500mg alphodopa, every moring and night nicardia 20mg and my wife suffered by headache every hole day due to nicardia 20 mg if there is any alternate medicine for nicardia 2o. pl. advice.

See alpha methyl dopa is the drug of choice for high bp during pregnancy...it is used extensively for this indication....
Nicardia or nifedipine has no proved risks in pregnancy, but it is generally avoided in pregnancy if possible...it has headache as side effects, so your headaches might be because of this...
I would suggest you to go to your doctor and he might replace nicardia with other medications if needed...and you can always have tab paracetamol SOS for headache...
