What Is The Treatment For Heartburn?

I have a history of bulimia (14years) which at times has been intermittent, right up to severe - being sick every meal of the day. I'm due to finish treatment CBT but have been sick more often recently (about once a day), although this is a massive improvement on what it was. I've recently experienced what i think is severe episodes of heartburn, i'm having trouble swallowing, its very painful and i'm struggling to get food and drink down, and i feel like my tablets also get stuck in my throat a lot, which then links back to the severe heartburn (particularly if my prozac 60mg) has got caught. I don't want to waste anyones time and i feel like its my own fault or being sick but i can't stop, i've done my best to get better. What is the problem likely to be?
