What Is The Treatment For Heart Palpitations?

Recently I noticed when I sleep on my left side , I can feel the pumping of my heart. The rate doesn t shift unless I get anxious but is a shift in the heart when you change your position to the left side and what does this mean. I had an echo cardiogram a year ago and everything was fine.

Hello! welcome to HCM
The most common cause for palpitation is anxiety, not taking into consideration your age, diabetes status, cholestrol and previous history of disease. If your echocardiogram was fine I am hundred percent sure your heart is fine. Sometimes our brain unintentionally concentrate on things that we don't think about normally. Like we all concentrate on ticking of clock hands at night, when all noise has muted. Anyways, if you had anxiety lately, you could use tab Inderal 10mg once daily and you can increase it to twice daily. I would also advise you should do an EKG. If its normal you have a clean chit.

Hope I have answered your question. Wish you best of health!
