What Is The Treatment For Headache And Neck Pain?

Dear Dr.Pratap Sannchetee, Good Morning. Im suffering from frequent head along with neck pain. I take saridon or Imol for relief. I am a computer operator using for min 9 hrs a day. Please advice if i have to go for CT scan and medication. Thanks. God bless you. Regards, Balamurugan S. Coimbatore

However,I can guide you regarding your headacahe and neck pain.With your professional pattern in mind,headache and neck pain is likely due to the muscles of scalp and neck in a tonic contraction or tension.It is a Tension type headache(TTH),which is otherwise also, the most common cause of headache with neck pain.Mental relaxation and medicines like amitriptyline may help.CT scan is not indicated for a TTH.However,you can discuss your history with your physician.PLEASE TAKE MEDICINES UNDER YOUR PHYSICIAN'S GUIDANCE.I hope it helps.
