Hi thanks for asking question.
Gilbert syndrome is harmless common condition in which the enzyme responsible for conjugation of bilirubin is defective.
Here in this condition you need not an aggresive therapy. You might suffer from jaundice intermittently.
Whenever you suffer from jaundice take enough bed rest with adequate sleep and proper diet avoiding fatty food.Drink more fluid.
The drug lead to jaundice avoided like indinavir and gemfirosil like.
The stress will aggravate the symptoms so avoid stress.
Zinc is found to be decrease unconjugated bilirubin.
AS far as constipation is concerned with drinking more water and doing enough exercise daily will help in relieving it.If still constipation is there then drug has to be taken.
The gilbert syndrome patient live well with no serious complication mostly.
I hope you understand my concern.
I find this answer helpful
