What Is The Treatment For Fracture In The Sesamoid Bone?

I fractured my sesamoid. Bone 5 months ago the dr I went to was giving me no results so I finally am going to see a orthopedic dr in a month. However my foot is in so much pain right now and my leg feels numb and hurts. To walk is the most painful thing ever right now. Even just sitting and elevating hurts. Should I be worried?

hi
The fracture union needs re-assessment by x ray.possibly inflammatory changes in surrounding tissues are troubling you.avoid direct weight bearing on foot use walking stick in opposite hand and take anti-inflammatory pain medicines like motrin/advil, keep foot elevated.use silicone insole in footwear and check up with ortho doctor
depending on location of sesamoid, treatment could be its removal, as your clinical symptoms dictate-it is in line of weight transmission along the rays of foot and interfering in walking and causing pain
best wishes
