Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 4 1/2. She had her tonsils and adenoids out 6 weeks ago. Since then, she has been excessively thirsty and if she doesn't drink something practically foams at the mouth with thick saliva. I took her to her pediatrician to rule out diabetes. The test came back negative. Is this about control and attention possibly, or is there something else that could be causing this? Should I get blood work done?
Hi... Probably the initial pain of the surgery should have caused this. There's nothing to worry as the summer is setting in too. You were right in testing for diabetes but make sure diabetes insipidus is ruled out too. Happy to help anytime. If you are happy with my reply, kindly rate it.
