Psychiatrist 's  Response
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) can be organic i.e. due to some medical or surgical illness or it can be psychosocial i.e. due to personal reasons, partners related problems, psychiatric illnesses like depression or anxiety.
Diabetes is a well recognized risk factor for ED, it causes ED due to damaging nerves and arteries of the penis and evidence suggests that good glycemic control can minimize the risk.
you need to visit general health practitioner who would assess you for your problem by asking lab tests about for your sugar and cholestrol levels and screening you for psychiatric illness or other psychosocial causes of ED.
