What Is The Treatment For Elevated Heart Rate?

I m a 33y male that is taking Verapamil 120 MG in the morning. My BP has always elevated upon standing, but seems to be higher of late with elevated heart rate still. Typically readings in the last 2 weeks are 135/109 hr 120 while standing. Laying down normally 128/85 hr 65. I m concerned because my diastolic was never this high before. I m wondering if you can tell me of any other possible medications that can help. My provider has not responded so I m unclear what to do. I can not tolerate beta blockers for a little more info.

Hi welcome to HCM.
In patients who did not respond to calcium channel blockers like verapamil and those who are intolerant to betablockers are likely to respond to another class of drugs called ace inhibitors ex ramipril and at1 antagonists like telmasartan. These drugs are very effective against diastolic hypertension as well.Reduce the intake of salt to less than 6 gm/day.Regular physical exercise will help.Consult your doctor for further help.
Thank you
