What Is The Treatment For Elevated Low-Density Lipoprotein?

I just had a CMP - all results were normal, except that I have elevated LDL. I do drink alcohol and I have read that too high of an HDL level can be a sign of alcohol related problems. Also, my AST/ALT ratio is 1.6. However that being said, those numbers are very low at 24 and 15.

Does my liver seem to you to be healthy? My bilirubin, etc. were all normal.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. ALT, AST levels are within the normal range. Its good.
2. If the ratio is more than 2, then liver problems can be thought of. At present, your liver is healthy.
3. Take low fat diet. Along with it moderate exercises will help in improvement. Elevated LDL will reduce.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
