For the past 2 weeks I've been noticing that when I speak the corners of my mouth are not functioning correctly. By that I mean I speak and my mouth (the sides) feel like I might drool and I try to stop it before anyone notices.
Example - I was speaking to my son and I felt like in the middle of the conversation I was feeling like the beginning of (drooling). So I try to catch it and hope he doesn't notice what I am trying to do. It's happened at least 4 times.
thanks for your query, i have gone through your question, the increased salivation could be because of improper swallowing threshold or it can be because of bacterial or viral or fungal infection in the oral cavity or parkinson disease or due to some drugs...consult oral physician to rule out the absolute cause of the excessive salivation...i am advising any medication because hypersalivation wont harm you , you can improve the swallowing threshold... if we prescribe any medicines to reduce salivary secretion then it can result in many adverse effects like dryness of the mouth, increased incidence of dental caries and fungal infection... hope my answer will help you..take care..
