Greetings Doctor! I am a paediatrician. My daughter is 22 years old and has been having diarrhoea since October. She was treated for Amoebiasis using Metronidazole 500 mgs TID despite negative results in stool exam. Stool culture was also done but negative. The symptoms persisted. Another course of Metronidazole was given but just the same. So Colonoscopy was done and they texted me the result which states like this: Consider inflammatory Bowel disease.So I am thinking it's Crohn's Disease. The Gastroenterologist prescribed Salofalk 500 mgs QID. But She texted me also to search on granuloma of ileal ulcer. I am a little bit confused Doctor. BTW my daughter also has IgA Nephropathy.
