What Is The Treatment For Diarrhea And Vomiting?

3 year old daughter complaining about leg pain. Diarrhoea for days and now vomiting. Her stool is runny and almost white. Hasn't made it to the toilet a couple of times. Eating and drinking ok. Recently diagnosed with epilepsy and is on sodium valporate liquid.

Hello and welcome to HCM

Please do not worry .Your daughter is suffering from a simple gastrointestinal infection and ensure that she is hydrated (enough fluids i the form of weak tea, soups , broths ,coconut water etc ).

In case it does not improve she might need broad spectrum antibiotics ,it would be advisable to take her pediatrician's advice as there might be some drug interaction with sodium valproate .

Hope this helps .Thank you .
