What Is The Treatment For Diarrhea And Bloated Stomach In A Child?
My daughter is 22 months old. She recently had diarrhea for 2 days last Saturday and in control in a day itself. But her belly is getting bloated like balloon which is abnormal. Very poor appetite. Even with small feed her stomach is bulging up. In this week I haven't seen a flat stomach. Motion and urine are normal except her bulges stomach. Giving her simethicone 2.5 ml three times a day as per pd recommendation. But still not seeing major improvement. Need your help

Your query is appreciated, in my opinion no medicine should be given in this condition because the diarrhea that baby had may not be due to any illness it is just the condition of self limiting neither it is matter of worry, if the diarrhea is severe more than 4 to 5 in day with loss of water, vomiting, fever then it is to be given attention for just dehydration although in this type of condition may not need any specific treatment until and unless it is highly indicated on clinical basis, hope this information and advise helps.
