What Is The Treatment For Cough And Shortness Of Breath?

I recently began cardio to lose weight and find that after 15 minutes, I have shortness of breath and begin coughing non stop. I have a metallic taste in the back of my throat as well. Will these symptoms fade as I continue to exercise over the next few weeks?

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
You are having shortness of breath and cough after exertion.
It is seen mostly in cardiac and pulmonary causes.
So better to get done ecg first to rule out cardiac cause.
Get done PFT ( pulmonary function test ) to rule out pulmonary causes.
If both are normal then no need to worry much.
Some short of shortness of breath can be seen after 15 minutes of cardio.
So if your above mentioned tests are normal then you can continue cardio.
