What Is The Treatment For Cold, swollen Throat And Sores In Mouth?

Hi, I got a canker sore 5 days ago on the inside of my upper lip. Within a day my single canker sore when from 1 to 5. Another day later I had 9. I went to an Urgent Care center on the 3rd day and explained to them the Canker sores were everywhere in my mouth and continuing to multiply, that I had a sever cold, my throat felt swollen to the point where it hurt and was hard to swallow, and my mouth as in extreme pain. The doctor present glance in my mouth and identified that I did indeed have canker sores. She presribed some lidocain and some sort of gel that I was supposed to apply to the sores. I was told after 48 to 72 hours the sores would be gone. after 48 hours the only change that occur was I now have 11canker sores, and I think a urinary track infection (because for the past 3 days I've had to constantly pee and my clit is slightly swollen and hurt to the touch). I planned to go back to the urgent care today, but I really could use a second opinion as to what on earth is suddenly going on. BTW..I've never ad a canker sore prior to this experience.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your query it seems that you are suffering from Upper respiratory tract infection commonly known as common old and along with it the sores in mouth are due to Apthous Stomatitis causing apthous ulcers and is commonly seen with throat infection, also apthous ulcers or canker sores is a common condition and you need not to panic as it will resolve soon..
Nothing to worry, you can continue gargling with a numbing mouthwash given to you by your physician.
Take Ibuprofen for reducing inflammation and pain.
Take a course of antibiotics like Azithromycin.
Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day.
Do steam inhalations and use saline nasal spray..
Take a multivitamin tablet daily for 15 days..
Take sufficient rest..
Drink plenty of water and take a soft bland diet..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
