What Is The Treatment For Cold , Ear Pain And Runny Nose?

I have had a cold, couldn t work I drive truck got well enough I could work, was still sick, went over the mountain pass with the truck and my ears would not pop, chewed gum, yanded all, nothing, got to the shop and blew my nose, I was getting a lot of mucus, kept blowing and a little harder and a pop in my ear, felt like I could feel air coming threw my ear, it hurt, no blood or any thing from ear, pressure in ear relieved right then. that was yesterday, this evening ear hurts. side of face numb, hard to chew and that same side of my jaw hurts when I try to chew. I break an eardrum? if so what can I do to help it, missed a week, money now tight no insurance I usually never get sick? if ear drum is broke what can help it, sweet oil? neurospora?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi there,....after reading your post thoroughly...i think their is a possibility that you might have a ruptured drum but still you should not worry as traumatic perforations of the ear drum tends to heal within a period of 3-5 weeks....but make sure to keep your ear dry i.e no ear drops/water /oil in the ear....you can try some nasal decongestant drops....you should avoid antihistamines because of your profession....i hope this answer will help you.
