What Is The Treatment For Chronic Insomnia And Neurocysticercosis?

My son (23 yrs old) has had chronic insomnia for 3 years. We have been to several doctors and they all want him to take medicine to sleep. We have had all manner of tests done on him to make sure he is healthy in all other ways. Yesterday a homeopathic doctor told him she thinks he has neurocysticercosis. Are there other ways to determine this besides a CT?

HI
Thanks for using healthcare magic

Chronic insomnia at age of 23 years could be due to multiple reason like stress, depression or personal issues etc. In that case, there is no need of CT scan. Neurocysticercosis could lead to seizure rather than insomnia. Better to consult a psychiatrist for proper investigation. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
