What Is The Treatment For Chest Pain And High BP?

My husband began to experience chest pain when he exerts himself. This is followed by period of shakes, nausea and a drop in blood pressure. He had a nuclear stress test, vascular scan, chest x ray and is currently wearing a heart monitor. The nuclear stress test showed all was fine with the left side of the heart. They were kind enough to send a letter. Frustration set in and he went to see his family doctor to get a referral for another cardiologist for a second opinion. His family physician ordered a heart monitor which he has been wearing for two weeks now. This weekend after working in the yard ( I was working along side him and not thinking the work was hard) after about 15 minutes he began to look sick, was sweating and said his chest was hurting. We went inside and checked his blood pressure (99 over 47, pulse 113). After about 15 minutes the symptoms subsided. He called the doctor and was told to keep exercising and wearing the heart monitor. Are we over reacting to what is going on? What else should we be doing? He suffers from high blood pressure and high cholesterol. His Father died of a heart attack and heart disease runs in the family. My husband is frustrated and stressed to the max over this. Any advice?

Hello, welcome to health care magic.
The above symptoms suggests thst your husband id having angina . You are not over reacting and its good to be concious for health. Since you are wearing a monitor it will definiteky show on ekg of changes of ischemia while he exerts himself. Sometimes nuclear stress tests can be normal and the changes of ischemia seen on ekg .
