What Is The Treatment For Blocked Ear And Dizziness?

hearing on my right has been a little off for some time. Im slowly picking up on that. Have also had dizziness when turning my head or trying to focus on a particular thing or motion. i didnt relate the two at all until now more recently my right ear has felt clogged like as if you had gotten water stuck in it. I have randomly gotten pulses of wave noises in that ear. Now the right side of my head feels dead, kind of like my ear drum has blown out. If i stick head phones in my ears, i can hear out of the ear fine but as i sit here the right side of my head and ear especially feel like theres cotton in it. I have not been sick, no allergies and i dont have any sinus issues.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have blocked ear and dizziness which could be due to ear wax, blocked nose by cold & sinus infection, accumulation of water within the ear, changes in atmospheric pressure and blockage in the Eustachian tubes. i would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order test like dix-Hallpike test , ENG , blood pressure and rotatory chair test. You should use Wax Softening Solution or wax dissolving solutions. You should use nasal sprays. You should do this excercise Take a deep breath and pinch your nose. Now, try to exhale like you are trying to breathe out. Do warm saline gargles. Get examination done by audiometer if it is really troubling.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
