What Is The Treatment For Anxiety And Nightmares?

Hi. My question is regarding my standing medication of Zoloft 150mg daily, Mirtazapine 15mg at bedtime and a recently added medication food :Deplin 15mg daily. I was diagnosed with GAD (Beginning of 2013) and had many of the symptoms of nightmares, anxiety, mood swings, mind racing thoughts etc.. Since last year 2013, my psychiatrist and I have been working to see progress, which we initially did with a titrated dose Zoloft 150mg. We had added Mirtazapine 15mg for loss of weight and decreased appetite. I would say I felt normal for about 7 months. But as I get closer to the new year, those symptoms are returning. We tried to increase the Zoloft to 200mg, but were unsuccessful due to tiredness. After recently seeing my doc (12/13/13), he started me on Deplin, which I started 3 weeks ago, but have not seen any positive effects. He also wanted me to increase the Mirtazapine to 30mg which I held off, because I wanted to see if the Deplin would work, which I read many successful blogs on. PS- Deplin is not covered by my insurance making it $150.00 a month. Something I can't even afford. Any suggestions??

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

Deplin contains L-methylfolate. In that case, you can use any multivitamin, which carry folic acid or B complex and under insurance coverage. There are lot of multivitamin in the market and you can use them according to availability and affordability. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
