I had an itchy scrotom about 6 months ago and my family doc said he thought it was a yeast infection. It was treated with flucanzonole cream and diflucan pills. It seemed to help but the itchyness never really went away completly. 3 weeks ago I started getting random patches of itchy spots all over my body. hydrocortisone cream and benydryl take sit away within 10 to 30 minutes. I have tried to pinpoint when these occur but they are very random. Seem to itch worse after eating or excericise.
Hi. Such infection of the skin cause lots of itching and thereby multiple small injuries , not allowing the cure. The first and foremost thing is to stop itching , and you have done the best - benedryl is working. please ask your Doctor to check for the medical disorders which reduce the body resistance - like diabetes and all ; this may be a reason for development and recurrence. Secondly as per your history, this does appear to be the fungal . Continue again with the original prescription and .... Consult a dermatologist. Stop using anything locally till you meet one. They usually diagnose by what is seen , do not alter the character of the disease by applying steroid creams. Take Multivitamins , VIT A & D. this helps in good recovery and increases the strength (integrity) of the skin
