What Is The Treatment For Adenoid Problem In A Child?

My son is suffering from breath and hearing problem. Dr advised adenoid X-ray. It shows the adenoid problem. Dr told it is around 75% advised one month medicine,repeat X-ray and advised surgery if result is same. We had X-ray , which shows the same result. My question is is it curable with medicine.

Hello. it sometimes happens that the adenoids get enlarged which affect breathing and hearing by blocking.
in such case, we try reducing its size with medicines at first, but if medical therapy has failed, we go for surgery.

i believe your doctor has already tried medical therapy but it didn't work hence surgery would be the only option right now.

i would like to assure you that it's a very safe and common surgery and I'm sure your doctor will help you with any other questions you might have
