What Is The Treatment For A Red Swollen Lump In The Nipple?

Hello, I am a 22 years old and I have a red, swollen, small ball on my left nipple. I am not pregnant and have never been. I noticed the swelling about 5 days ago and it s only gotten more painful and more red.I have always had this one single, thick hair on my nipple exactly where the infection is, and it seems as if the infection had started there because that is where I noticed it. However, I plucked the hair out yesterday because I thought this might help, but now the pore is completely closed and the infection is still there under the skin. If I press, nothing comes out through the pore since it is completely closed. What could it be? How could I take care of it? Please let me know since I am freaking out! Thanks!!!

Hi...thanks for sharing your problem here in this forum...
The nipple area sometime have these hairs...the root of the hair known as hair follical..thses folical sometime get infected and this is known as folliculitis...in your case it is most probabally this folliculitis...i will advise you to start some antibiontic like co amoxiclave and take some anti inflammatory like ibuprofen..if there is pus accumulation in it then this need to be drained...and you should see a surgeon...
If no pus then antibiotic will work...
One thing more from my experience is that you apply balladona on it...this also reduce the inflammation ...hope you will be fine soon.if any question you can ask again...thanks
