What Is The Treatment For A Bump On The Forehead Of A Child?

My daughter is 5 & hit her head while riding a rollarcoster. She hit her forehead on the bar that holds you in. It has been a week and I noticed a bump, almost like a bruise under her skin. It is soft and doesn t stick off the forehead. Do I need to take her to see her dr.

Hello. I just read through your question. It is common to get a bump on the head when the head is hit like that. Sometimes the bumps could take weeks before they begin to disappear. However, ultimately they do disappear. This is what seems to be ahpoening with your daughter. There is nothing to worry about and nothing to do. Give it time and it will resolve.
