I woke up today with a bump on the soft palate of my mouth. It s extremly painful to eat and swallow, but I know it can t be strep throat. I don t know what it is. The bump looks kind of dead, like an unnatural color for the soft palate of my mouth. I do have a good picture of it, but I don t think I have the option of sending it. I don t want to go to the doctor unless I have to. This is extremly irritating and just to chew food in my mouth is painful. What is this?
Read your query as you have bump in soft palate this could be due to dental infection might be due to caries , decayed tooth or root stump or swelling can be due to sinus infection or throat infection . For this I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon and go for visual examination of swelling if needed go foe investigations like occlusal radiograph . Inmeantime do warm saline gargle two - three times a day , and you can take medicine like AXL or Amclaid by consulting with your local doctor .
