Hello and welcome to HCM.
Since you sustained quite a hard injury on an area that is soft and prone to swelling, you will have a swelling, maybe some hardness and definitely pain esp on pressing the area. Also you may see a dark discolouration which may take up to a week to clear.
You may take a pain killer or apply a balm if the pain is severe.
Dont over strain the area even if you don't have much pain, as that can cause delay in healing.
If you have severe pain, redness and increasing swelling, or severe difficulty moving, then consult an orthopedician to rule out any bony injury.
Otherwise some amount of pain for a few days is normal.
Hope this helps you further.
