What Is The Treatment For Severe Stenosis In Lower Lumbar Region Found Through MRI?

Hi. I recently had cervical spine surgery--6 months ago. While I healed from that, I was still in significant pain in both my right and left legs. An MRI revealed I have severe stenosis in lower lumbar region. I went back to the surgeon who did my cervical spine, and he said that surgery for this issue would only have a 50 percent success rate and could cause further pain, and possibly more problems. At the same time, I could be damaging my nerves. This is a no-win situation. When I asked my surgeon what he would do if he were me, he said he would shoot himself in the head. Are there no options for me?
