What Is The Treatment For PE In The Right Lung And Could The Blood Thinner Be Causing Thirsty?

I was put in hospital on jan 1st for P.E. had it real bad in right lung.. im on warfarin and ive noticed in the past few months that I just seem to be sooo thirsty all the time! Could that be the blood thinner? Also ive gained weight in the last three months 8 pounds! could that also be the blood thinner? Or could it be the birth control that they put me on before I left hospital on the 6th of jan.. the depo shot since I no longer can have estrogen..

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No warfarin can not cause thirsty feeling or weight gain.
But birth control pills having hormones like estrogen and progesterone can cause thirsty feeling and weight gain.
These pills can be atherogenic and can cause or worsen Pulmonary embolism.
So ideally you should not take birth control pills because you are having Pulmonary embolism.
So these pills can be harmful in your case.
So better to consult your doctor and discuss all these. It is better to stop these pills and switch over to barrier contraception like vaginal diaphragm or female condom.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
