What Is The Treatment For 4 Year Old With Temperature, Swollen Tonsils?

Hi my 4 year old daughter has had a temperature for the last few days. Infant paracetamol does bring it down and make her feel a bit better though. Her tonsils are very swollen and her tongue as red with little spots on it. Do I need to take her to GP?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
You history suggests that your daughter is suffering from acute tonsillitis.
A combination of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid is the drug of choice.
Better start antibiotic in addition to paracetamol in consultation with your doctor.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
