My mothers brother in India has had a stroke in the last few hours. The Hospital (PGI in Chandighar) is refusing to admit him, instead they have done preliminary checks and I believe they have given a dose of t-PA and sent him home. Is this correct procedure for India? As a student doctor in the UK I feel this is substandard and bad treatment. Also How should the patient be treated if they are at home? Since certain monitoring deviced are not available.
HI Well come to HCM NO this may not be sub-standard treatment but over all general condition of the patient might be the cause of this, if the prognosis is grave then and then this is possible, nowadays in this high tech era, all medical institute doing very well for the sake of patient regardless the country regions, hope this information helps, take care.
