My spouse had an eye exam a year ago (dialated) and was told there was a spot behind his eye and scheduled a 6 month follow up. At the follow up, said it was still there (doesn t believe it has gotten any larger to the best of his knowledge); however, has referred him to a specialist. We ask what could cause a spot or scarring like and was told that he did not want to answer that until after the specialist has confirmed what he believes it is. Well, that leaves us wondering many different things and I would like to know what could possibly cause this, as it may be something minor and I wouldn t worry so much about definitely major.
as you have said spot behind eye means retina. good thing is that it s not growing and vision has not been effected. It may be scar of chorioretinitis. It can be tessellated fundus if he is myopic. what ever will be said will be guess work. It will be more cofirmative specialist report who will give it after examination.
