What Is The Solution For Vaginal Bleeding, Kidney Cyst, And Lump On Breast?

Hi there, my friend has had vaginal bleeding for 6 weeks aged 48. Off food, sometimes sickly & lost 1 1/2 stone in five months. She has been to the doctors and had a scan which shows an abnormal mass which the doctor thought was initally an embolism. A cyst has shown up on her keft kidney but her right kidney is enlarged and painful - so much so she has been unable to sleep. She found a large lump in her breast yesterday (very recent and immediate lump). Please could I have some advice as she thinks she has no chance already. Thank you, Julia

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
You are suffering from multiple problems.
I will suggest the immediate step to be taken for each problem.
The breast lump in breast can be malignant.
Aspiration cytology of the lump needs to be done.
This test will sample the cells of the lump and detremine whether the lump is malignant or benign.

A cyst in the kidney also needs to be investigated.
Since, sight kidney is enlarged and painful, renal function tests need to be done to assess the renal functions.
The CT scan of the kidney will determine whether the cyst is benign or malignant.
Further management will depend on the result of the investigations.

Vaginal bleeding is an alarming symptoms.
An endometrial curretting and cervical biopsy are required to determine the cause of bleeding.
You need to consult your gynecologist for further management.

Thanks and take care
