What Is The Small Grey Spot In My Peripheral Vision?
Hello Dr. Meyer,
For a long time now, I have been seeing a small grey spot in my peripheral vision. The spot is only vision against a light colored background. It is not a floater, and follows my vision. It is not noticable when I am focusing on a certain spot as it is not dark enough. However it is noticable when I am rapidly looking around a light background, since I can see it move and follow my vision.
Hello It seems from the history that you are having small grey spot in the peripheral vision and it is seen against the light colored background and it is moving and following the vision. This is because of opacity in the vitreous and common causes are vitreous degenerations. Though most of the vitreous degenerations are benign and not require treatment but they require examination by a ophthalmologist by performing fundoscopy to rule out retinal problems. Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
