Nephrologist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
If you have blood in the urine alongwith flank pain, it could indicate UTI.
I would recommend a urinalysis and urine culture to rule out UTI.
I would also suggest the following tests if you have recurrent UTIs:
1) USG of the kidneys and bladder
2) Blood sugar
3) Consultation with a nephrologist
Hope this helps
Good luck
