What Is The Remedy For Sinusitis When On Antibiotics With Post Nasal Drip And Cough?

Hi I have yesterday finished a 10 day course of antibiotics for what my doctor says is sinusitis, but I still have the post nasal drip and cough and faintness, dull head, and wake with a headache. Has been going on for 2 months. Is there any point in going back to the doctor or do I just wait? I am going overseas in 2 weeks. Ayla.

I have gone through your query regarding sinusitis and post nasal drip. Though you are already taking treatment but not get complete relief.

After taking treatment for ten days if your problem is still persisting than there may be possibility of these -

1- Blocked osteomeatal complex.

2- Sinusitis with nasal polyp / DNS / turbinate hypertrophy.

3- Adenoid hypertrophy.

4- Allergy.

These above possibility should be rule out by clinical examination and necessary investigations. If any of above are found that should be treated to avoid recurrence.
