What Is The Remedy For Rashes Causing By Bug Bite?

why does my child get rashes after a bug bite..she is allergic to mosquito bites and gets very swollen when she gets bit. sometimes a week or two after getting bit she gets rough patches around the area..she scratches at them too. what is this?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain rashes after a bug bite is due to allergic reaction to the toxic chemical injected by the bug bite inside the body of the individual..
Formation of rough itchy patches and rough bites seems to be due to it only..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation along with allergic testing like Patch test,RAST test and food challenge test can be diagnostic.
He can advise you allergic medicines like Benadryl, application of steroid ointment over rashes..
Cool compresses can help..
You can also apply Calamine lotion as well as petroleum jelly over the patches to soothe the skin..
