Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Geeta Sundar's  Response
Hi welcome to HCM. Parched skin can commonly be due to thyroid deficiency, B-complex deficiency, Vitamin A deficiency or a congenital condition called Icthyosis. I think you should first go in for a proper diagnosis by consulting a skin specialist. Meanwhile I would suggest you go in for a full therapeutic dose of multivitamins and multi minerals. Also drink three litres of water a day, and oil massage your body daily before a bath. Avoid very hot baths and soaps (you can use one with glycerine. Also avoid too much sun exposure.
You can use any aloe vera based cream and also use glycerine. All these measures will hydrate your skin, correct any imbalance and slowly bring your skin to normal.
