Hi I've been suffering from severe itchy eyes for which I've been prescribed venoms infringe or something like that it has not really worked...I do have a bit of dust allergy and been through some very stressful period in the last couple of years. I when I feel like this I get also joint pain specially in my knee. I possibly been treated for chlamydia at some stage. But this eye itching tends to return. And causing me lot or stress. I had a mild vit d deficiency for which I am taking treatment. I've been prescribed levocetrizine..for eye itching Thanks
You are reporting a history of Chlamydia. I strongly suggest to get tested for Chlamydia as the itchy eyes could be also related to Chlamydia infection rather than allergy alone. You should also be treated accordingly.
I also recommended to keep good hygiene of your eyes, wash them with water everytime you come back home to remove impurities.
Then, can take an ear cotton-stick, deep in chamomile tea, and try to clean the eyelids from insides (inner-part-to-outer angle).
Levocetirizine will help alleviate the symptoms of allergy and itchy eyes, however, you should keep a good hygiene of your eyes together with further testing for Chlamydia.
Hope it helped! Dr.Albana
