What Is The Remedy For Dark Circles?

Hello doctor....I am 24yrs old and have a fair skin I have a huge concern about my dark circles.The problem is so intense that my eyes often get dominated in the pictures.I usually sleep around 8-9hrs a day and drink around 3-4litres of water and include fresh fruits in my diet.My mother has got the same problem I know it is hereditary but is there any solution I can rid of them.Any suggestion would be a great help...Thank you.

Hi,

You seem to have periorbital hypermelanosis. There may be many causes. In your case, as you said ,it is genetic...as your mom is having same. However, thyroid dysfunction,vitamin B 12 deficiency,anaemia and internal diseases may be ruled out after blood investigations. For that, you consult dermatologist. As you have genetic influence, it is difficult to cure, but it may be improved. Apply kojic acid containing gel at night and vitamin E cream in morning. Glutathion, nicotinic acd and vitamin C may be taken for long time. Cleanse the face with kojic acid and glycolic acid containing face wash. You maight improve after few months treatment. I hope you got my answer.
