What Is The Remedy For Blisters On The Ear Due To Sunburn?

My son has popped blisters on the outer tops of his ears probably caused from sunburn or rubbing on the skin from a protective mask he wore while doing yard work. He took the protective skin off one of the blisters, some of the blisters have not popped. how do we keep the lesions clean when they have popped and can I apply any kind of medicine on it to keep it from stinging or getting infected? He has washed them with soap and water while taking a shower.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
He should use a steroid antibiotic cream( mupirocin-fluticasone/fusidic acid beclomethasone combination) to help the lesions heal. Please ask him to avoid sun exposure and not to manipulate or touch the raw area.
Hopefully in few days, the area will crust and heal.
Take care
