What Is The Recommended Diet For Pernicious Anemia?

My wife was recently diagnosed with hemochromatosis. She was diagnosed with pernicious anemia 12 years ago and she is allergic to gluten, peanuts, and dairy and intolerant of corn and tomatoes. Where can we find a diet suited to her needs? Thanks for your time. Have a good evening.

Hi thanks for asking question.
Because of hemochromatosis foods rich in iron has to be avoided like red meat, jaggery, carrot etc.
The B12 is found in animal product like egg, milk, fish, meat etc more.
But dairy product has to be avoided as you have allergy to them.
So fish and egg can be helpful in b12 deficiency.
For B12 deficiency cobalamine injection can be taken.
Overall take nutritional diet with green leafy vegetables.
Take fruits more.
As you have genetic defect in B12 absorption because of intrinsic factor deficiency in pernicious anemia, food are not enough to recover. So take B12 injection for correction.
I hope my suggestion will help you.
