What Is The Reason For Prescribing Proluton Depot Injection?
I am 13weeks .my discharges have always been light brown.two days back i saw a streak of thick blood and was so worried.i went to a doctor.she said the baby was fine but prescribed proluton depot injection on the same day as well as a another shot in a weeks time.why was i given the injection ....what does it do....why do i need complete bed rest......do i have to take these injections in the future too.thank you

I understand your concerns. The light brown discharge and blood was due to probably threatened abortion which is reversible by proluton as it supplements hormones needed for your pregnancy. That is why you were given the shots. Also complete bed rest helps in reducing the chances of stress which again can increase bleeding. You might need to take these injections in future also if bleeding continues.
