What Is The Reason For Feeling Heart Beat On Top Or Side Of Head?

I have been feeling my heartbeart on the top/side of my head (scalp) for a few weeks now. It is more on the top of my head than the side. When my heart beats faster, so does the pulsation on the top of my head. It does not cause any pain but is really annoying and I cant stop thinking about it. Please Advise

Your current problem can occur in following condition:
-Stress and anxiety: May present with excessive worry, tension, palpitation and muscle twitching.
-Cardiovascular problem: Including increase blood pressure and cardiac illness.
