General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear patient,

Citrobacter is a widely distributed bacteria, found in water, soil, food and intestinal tract of man and animals. It is curable and there are many antibiotics in circulation that can eradicate this infection.
It is very important though to have an antibiogram done. Citrobacter is known to develop very soon resistance towards different types of antibiotics. This test will determine which is the best antibiotic to be used in your nephew's case, those that the citrobacter is more sensitive to.

I wish your nephew health, and that he may recover as soon as possible!
Sincerely,
Manoku Eni, M.D.
