What Is The Pus On The Large Intestine?

Had a colonoscopy and they found pus on my large intestine, just wondering what that would be I have ulcerative colitis, 43 years old female, weigh 120, currently on remicade, max dose, not working. Have blood in stools. 5-8 stools a day, watery. Just started taking VSL-3 1 month ago.
