What Is The Prognosis Of Pneumonia, COPD, Bad Lungs With Raspy Breathing?

my 93 old grandma has been placed with hospice at home. She has phnemonia and has copd and has very bad lungs, i have noticed she is sleeping so much now, and is always speaking of dead people. She uses a bipap and regular oxygen, not sure if its helping but her breathing seems like it is faster and she is trying so hard to catch her breath. She also has very dark spots on feet. is this a sign that she is dying

If she has been placed on hospice, that means she has a terminal illness, and will pass in 6 months or less. Her lungs were already in bad shape, and pneumonia is usually the final event. The fact that she is sleeping a lot and talking of dead people suggests that she is getting ready to pass away. I don't know what the dark spots on her feet could be. But I am sorry to say, given how she is doing now, she may pass very soon. The important thing is that she is made as comfortable as possible and that her family is with her. Hope this answers your question.
