echo has been done. they are admitted in hospital. approx 50 days ago PR bleeding (heavy ) happened through anus.reasons still unknown because after two days his breath had been almost stopped,he was on life support system for approx 40 days. now he is in sense but in confused state. following medicines are being given: TAB LOSARTEN 25 MG TAB BROMHEXINE HYDROCHLORIDE TAB DIGOXIN 0.25MG,GLAXO SK INJ AMIKACIN 500MG TAB SPIRONOLACTONE 25MG INJ. CEFTRIAXONE SODIUM USP 1 GM IM/IV INJ VANCOMYCIN 500 MG VIAL CAP OMEPRAZOLE 20 MG INJ ACTRAPID HUMAN INSULIN 40 IU/ML 10ML 100 ML 0.9% SODIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION Dear doctor my father has a heart problem severe lv sistolic dysfunction and grade 3 distolic dysfunction,ejection is 24 %. How much dangerous this one and how it ll cured???please help

hi with all your description looks like your father has a cardiomyopathy, most relatively infective this problem can be dueto sepsis as the treatment what he is recieving indicates that he is in sepsis due to resistant organisms. this echo findings are no doubt showing severe cardiac problems , but has been recieving medications for that too. this is a serious , high risk condition landing towards septic encephalopathy also(confused states) once the infection reduces, & without signs of multi organ failure then the prognosis can be good, with continuous cardiac medications. all the best
