Hello and Welcome to healthcaremagic.

If I was your treating doctor I would have advised you to start with Azithromycin. I prefer to give it in pulse form i.e in a dose of 500mg for three consequtive days in a week for 4-12 weeks.

Topical antiacne medicines include clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide and retinoids (adapalene)

While topical clindamycin gel is for day time application, I give either benzoyl peroxide gel 2.5% OR a topical retinoid like Adapalene gel for night application.

Using a gentle cleanser like cetaphil cleansing lotion and shampooing the scalp with an antidandruff shampoo thrice weekly would also help.

regards
