Hi,Welcome to HCM.
Based on the facts of your query, the painless lump on your left knee appears to be Pre-patellar bursitis, and could be due to un-noticed/or forgotten hit to left knee front.
Other probability could be -early synovitis left knee.
Check Xray and Second opinion from Orthopedic surgeo would resolve your worry.
If it increases or pains, then its a cause for worry.
This reply would resolve your current issues and would reduce your anxiety with it.

Hope this reply would help you to plan treatment with your doctor.
Will appreciate your Hitting thanks and writing excellent review comments to help needy patients like you.
Welcome with any other further query in this regard.
Good Day!!
